Initprise offers transparent, flexible, and simple billing with no hidden fees or long-term contracts.

Rate: $150/hour
We have a flat blended rate of $150 per hour per resource that is contributing to your project. Every hour is traceable to a deliverable with the exception of our Startup Engineer role (project management). Startup Engineers are your point of contact responsible for executing our process and coordinating all tasks. Startup engineers have limited capacity and We bill a minimum of 8 hours per week for this role to maintain their ability to provide the focus each startup deserves.
Expenses: True cost
Any expenses that we incur directly related to the project will be billed at their actual cost. We do not markup expenses such as licenses, themes, or hosting.
Retainer: 1 Month
We work to reduce the risk of your project with every deliverable. However, startups by nature are risky ventures. We are a very lean organization and to mitigate these risks we require a 1-month retainer up front. We will work with you to identify and stay within your monthly budget.
Terms: Bi-weekly, Due on Receipt
Invoices are due on receipt. We bill our clients every two weeks the amount required to maintain the retainer. We will adjust the retainer up or down if circumstances change, i.e. budget, project cadence, etc.
Minimum Project Size: None
We don’t have a minimum project size. We are able to work within anyone’s monthly budget. However, most projects are estimated at between $50k-$150k. It would be difficult to launch an MVP for less than $25k, but we are happy to discuss your idea and let you know what we think is possible.
Contract Terms: 48 hours
Many agencies require a 30-60 day notice. We don’t have long-term contracts. If you’re not satisfied you are able to terminate the contract with a 48 business-hour notice.
Warrant: 2%
We request an optional warrant to purchase up to 2% of shares for up to $20k within 5 years of completing our program. Again, this is optional, but we believe in creating a long-lasting partnership and that aligning long-term interest is mutually beneficial. We use warrants as incentives for startup engineers and other key resources responsible for the successful completion of our program. While we consider ourselves long-term partners with all of our clients, warrant participants receive additional benefits as they grow.
